Boss is the dark horse of this TV season, and Kelsey Grammer acts the hell out of his role, with fans already clamoring to give him award recognition.
Tom Kane’s senior political advisor, Kitty O’Neil (Kathleen Robertson), perennially looks like she just walked out of a TV commercial about women who take their glasses off and whip out their hair the if a man wearing a particular brand of deodorant walks by.

A cop finds out that he is one of the last Grimms - hunters who can see supernatural monsters for what they really are.
The second of the ‘fairy tale shows’ to premiere this week, Grimm is as procedural as Once Upon A Time is not. And it seemed more like a CW show. It felt like Supernatural with the writing of Nikita. A lot of cliched lines and the humor seemed forced. That’s not saying it was bad though. It has a pretty fairly talented cast, and its decent ratings against a World Series game will make sure it gets some more time to improve.
Also, I’ve noticed Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, and its covers have been played a lot this year.

Brilliant pilot. A little cheesy at times, but in a good way.
In our world, Snow White is a nice little schoolteacher. The Evil Queen is the mayor. Little Red Riding Hood is this rebellious goth person who lives with her grandmother. Jiminy Cricket is a child psychologist. Rumpelstiltskin is some mysterious person.
Since it’s from some of the writers of Lost, there were a bunch of Lost references. The clock was stuck at 8:15, the number on the Evil Queen’s house door was 108, the eye opening scene, and apparently even a Geronimo Jackson bumper sticker (although I didn’t catch that one).

After her ‘dreams fall apart’, newly graduated Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) from New York reluctantly decides to move to and work in the small Southern town of Bluebell, Alabama. Culture clashes ensue.
Rachel Bilson is immensely watchable in this show as ever. I suspect I might’ve said the same thing even if the show was 40 minutes of Rachel Bilson printing legal documents. Scott Porter, who once played Jason Street, the original QB1 for the Dillon Panthers on Friday Night Lights, and Kalinda Sharma’s nemesis Blake Calamar on The Good Wife, is in this too. Not to mention it was co-created by Josh Schwartz, whose credits include The OC, Chuck and Gossip Girl.
Liking it so far. And speaking of culture clashes, it airs immediately after Gossip Girl.

A bunch of humans from a dying future are transported 85 million years back into prehistoric Earth to rebuild civilization.
Spielberg, dinosaurs, stupid teenagers, Lost-type mystery, nice looking locales, and Stephen Lang as the military guy. On paper it looks pretty good. Luckily, it looks good off paper too.
